3 days in Kochi

The experience in Kochi is mix of pre-colonial, coloial, and modern era.  The art, dance, streets, backwaters, food, and cafes - eveything creates a special feeling that sometimes like deja vu or nostalgic - i dont know why.  I always felt I have been here before even though I came here for first time.

I planned for 3 days in Kochi - a short trip in cultural city that is so beautiful.  After lot of research I short lised few hotels:

The month of travel was last week of June and it is expected to get better hotels deals in this period because of monson season.  I got good deal in Taj Malabar.  I travelled with family and enjoyed the free hotel activities: Swimming pool facing harbour, evening tea and snacks, boat ride, and cultural dance.  The hospitality of hotel is amazing and kids activites include kids centre, magic show, and balloons.  I recommend a sea facing room in heritage building.  In the 3 days I enjoyed the hotel activites, morning brunch, and evening drinks in happy hours.  Day 1 is totally spend in Taj hotel relaxing.

Day 2: A visit to fort kochi - Chinese fishing nets (not so exciting), tiled pre-colonial bunglows on streets with good food and coffeee
Walk in Princess street and the parallel burger street, Drink coffee in Kashi Art Cafe, and or eat in Farmers Cafe.  Before visting the place one can reserve a seat in kerala kathakali centre

Day 3: Mattancherry palace and surroundings (en circled below). Eat at Ginger House, take boat ride, and walk on the spice street to buy souveniers and spices
